Appleton PL: Toolkit for Hosting a Social Work Student and Measuring Their Impact

In 2021, Appleton Public Library hired Dr. Beth Wahler to create a toolkit on behalf of the City Library Collective for public libraries who are considering hosting a social work practicum student. Funded by the CLC ARPA Grant, Dr. Wahler created two documents, the first being a guidance document on the planning and considerations a library should take before, during, and after the student’s placement, and the second being a guide to measuring the impact the student and their work had on both staff and patrons.
